The Pandemic affecting PacSun
It is clear several businesses have been affected by the coronavirus. From closures to new regulations almost every business in the world has been affected in some way. A specific example I have noticed is the store PacSun in the Danbury mall.
I have been to the Danbury mall about four times since the coronavirus has started. Every single time I have gone I’ve noticed every store has precautions but PacSun has the most. Many stores have these clickers that count how many people are in the store at a time to adhere to social distancing. However, when you get to PacSun they have the entryway blocked off, and you must make an appointment to enter the store.
When I went to go make an appointment, they said the wait would be forty-five minutes to an hour. That is an insane wait to go walk around a store for five minutes. Due to this change PacSun has lost an insane amount of business because no one wants to wait that long to go shopping. PacSun is a very popular store so it makes sense they would need to make entrance appointments during the pandemic. Still, every time I would look in the store only about 5 people were there at a time. To increase their flow of business they could allow a few more customers in the store at a time, but I do understand where they’re coming from.
Since this has been happening for several months many PacSun stores are being forced to shut down across the country. This is once again an example of how Covid-19 is affecting these very successful businesses.
